• State law requires auto owners to carry bodily injury, liability, property damage, personal injury and uninsured motorist liability insurance.
• Proof of insurance must be carried in the vehicle at all times.
• Vehicles must be registered before you have completed 90 days of residency and plates must be displayed
  
• The fee is based on the vehicle's age, weight and taxable value.

• State law requires that a person complete an application and pay the fee for an Idaho Driver's License within 90 days of residency regardless of whether your out-of-state license has expired.
• You have only 30 days to apply for an Idaho CDL.
  
• A written exam is required for first time applicants.
• Students attending a college or university in Idaho and members of the U.S. Military on active duty and their dependents who hold an active driver's license from another state or country and who claim residency in that state or country, are not required to obtain an Idaho driver's license.
• You will need to provide proof of residency - documents such as  a lease  or rental agreement,  utility bill, employment record, etc.
• Driver's license examiners are required by law to verify your identity and age before issuing you a driver's license.

To Register and Vote you must. . .

• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Be a resident of Idaho and Shoshone County for thirty (30) days preceding the election
• Be eighteen (18) years of age

You are not eligible to vote if you have been. . .

• Convicted of a felony and your rights have not been restored

You need to register again if you have. . .

• Changed your name
• Moved to a different address
• Not voted within the last four (4) years
